Any way to limit the maximum number of jobs a user can have in the queue?

Howdy,

In GE6.2u5, is there a way to limit the max number of jobs a user can have in the queue, regardless of the jobs status 'qw' 'r' 'dr' 'Eqw' etc...?

I know I can limit the max running jobs or max used slots per user via resource quota set, is it possible to do the above via an rqs?

Thanks,

Mike

you can also limit running jobs besides slots in an RQS when you define a consumable with JOB and attach a default consumption.

But to include the waiting ones you only have the global setting in SGE's configuration.

Thanks Reuti, I had completely forgotten about max_u_jobs, which according the sge_conf man page sounds like what I'm after.
